Learn about GFWC
The Naples Woman’s Club is a member of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC), an association of women’s service clubs all over the world. The GFWC plays a significant role in legislation and issues that concern women, families, and the population in general. Our accomplishments include initiating a campaign to pass the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906, establishing 75% of America’s public libraries, and the passage of safety laws regarding seatbelts and traffic markings that have saved millions of lives. GFWC members advocate for positive changes in their communities just like Naples, and have done so for over 125 years through advocacy and volunteer service. Learn more by watching the video below.
