The Naples Woman’s Club is a membership-based non-profit organization, open to any adult woman in Naples. NWC members give their time, talent, and treasure to enrich the lives of others in our community; we are also aligned with a sister-organization, the Naples Junior Woman’s Club, and we sponsor the NWC Juniorettes, a group of teen volunteers.
We encourage anyone with interest in joining our organization to email NaplesWCmembership@gmail.com for more information. You may ask to be included on the list for the next Orientation Tea. At this time, we have a waiting list. When an opening is available you will receive an email with more information. You may also inquire at the above email about attending a General Meeting as a guest.
To become a member of the Naples Woman’s Club, a prospective member engages in a multi-step process. NWC hosts two (2) New Member Orientation Teas per year, in November and January. All prospective members are required to attend one Orientation Tea.
At the Teas, prospective members learn about our volunteer committees and enjoy meeting other members of the Club. Also, at the Orientation Tea, or sometimes even before, a prospective member is given a link to our NWC Website and encouraged to complete the application form and pay the application fee. After a prospective member completes the application and attends the Orientation Tea, the prospective member’s application is submitted to the NWC Board for review, and a vote, as part of the membership process.
All NWC members must commit to working on one (1) but no more than two (2) committees per year. And per our Bylaws members agree to financially support a fundraiser or major project of their choice annually.
NWC General Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from October through April; we do not host General Meetings from May through September. Prospective members may attend our General Meetings, as guests, except during the height of season; consequently, the January and February meetings are for members only.
Membership in the Naples Woman’s Club also includes membership in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) (an international organization) and GFWC Florida (our state organization).
Please note: The NWC Bylaws prohibit members from using their NWC membership to promote their business or services, and members may not be hired by NWC for services. Furthermore, the NWC Membership Directory is available for members only and is considered confidential.
