The Naples Woman’s Club is a membership-based non-profit organization, open to any adult woman who shares the NWC vision of enhancing the lives of others, through philanthropic activities and volunteer service. NWC is aligned with a sister organization the Naples Junior Woman’s Club, and we sponsor the NWC Juniorettes, a group of teen volunteers.
At this time, NWC does not have a membership capacity. However, the Club does maintain a wait list, inviting new members to join twice each year.
Most prospective NWC members are sponsored by a current member; if a prospective member does not know a current member, but is interested in joining NWC, she is asked to contact the Membership Chair who will assign a Sponsor. Prospective members are required to attend one (1) of the two (2) Membership Teas held annually. Membership Teas offer prospective members the opportunity to learn about the Club, its activities, and the importance of the Service Committees. All NWC members commit to serving on at least one (but no more than two) Service Committees. Prospective members fill out an application during or soon after attending a Tea; the candidates’ applications are put before the NWC Board for a vote, as part of the membership process.
Membership in the Naples Woman’s Club also includes membership in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) and GFWC Florida.
NWC General Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from October until April; we do not host General Meetings from May through September. If you are not a member, nor the guest of a member, but wish to attend a General Meeting, please contact our Membership Chair. Guests are welcome at any General Meeting, except those held in January and February; unfortunately, at the height of season, we cannot accommodate guests.
Please note: The NWC Bylaws prohibit members from using their Club membership to promote their business or services, and members may not be hired by the Club for services. Furthermore, the NWC Membership Directory is available for members only and is considered confidential.
